The deadline for submissions of paper proposals for the SASS conference in Puerto Rico is approaching this Sunday, December 1. The Society for East Norse Philology's 4th biennial international conference which will take place at the Department for Scandinavian and Finnish Studies at the University of Cologne, 12-14 June. Conference papers deal with aspects of Danish, Swedish and Gutnish medieval philology. The lectures will be held in English, Swedish, Danish and Norwegian

The 110th annual meeting of the Society for the Advancement of Scandinavian Study will take place between April 29 – May 3 2020, at the Wyndham Grand Rio Mar Beach Resort & Spa, on the northeastern coast of Puerto Rico. The 9th annual Háskóli Íslands Student Conference on the Medieval North will take place at the University of Iceland, on April 12-13th, 2019. This student organized two-day event is intended as an interdisciplinary forum for postgraduate students (MA and PhD level) of Old Norse and medieval Scandinavia. Students who have not given papers at an academic conference before are especially encouraged to submit.
