The thirty-ninth annual meeting of the Association for the Advancement of Scandinavian Studies in Canada (AASSC) will be held at Western University from Monday, June 1–Thursday, June 4, 2020. Deadline for submission of proposals for panels/abstracts is January 15, 2020.
In the continuation of the workshops organized since 2016 around the mythemes of the North, the organizers invite scholars in Scandinavian Studies to reflect on the evolutions of the imaginations of the Nordic region with case studies or theoretical considerations. Deadline November 30.

Studia Scandinavica invites papers as well as book reviews for the next issue of the journal on the following themes: Scandinavian linguistics, literature, history and culture. Contributions are welcome in Polish, English, Danish, Norwegian or Swedish. The submission deadline is December 31st, 2019.
Apardjón Journal for Scandinavian Studies is a multi-disciplinary open access, online journal, attached to the Centre for Scandinavian Studies at the University of Aberdeen, which aims to create a platform for postgraduate and early career researchers to publish and promote their academic work. With a focus first and foremost on the Old Norse world, the journal is especially interested in interdisciplinary approaches and methodologies within the field of Medieval Scandinavian Studies but will consider articles from different geographies that are connected to the Norse world.
Papers on topics related to Scandinavian linguistics, literature, culture and history are welcome, and the submission deadline for the next volume is April 30. The submissions can be in English, German and the mainland Scandinavian languages.
